Plan Your Move: Timeline

  • Reserve your container(s) at least two (2) weeks prior to your moving date.
  • Get your moving supplies at least one (1) month in advance. You can order moving supplies here. They will be delivered to your home before your container(s) arrive so that you have ample time to pack. In addition, the following list of supplies is indispensable for trouble-free packing:
    • Cardboard boxes (various sizes)
    • Cardboard sheets
    • Polystyrene "peanuts"
    • Blankets/pads
    • Bubble wrap
    • Shrink wrap
    • Newspaper/packing paper
    • Packing tape and dispenser
    • Utility knife/box cutter
    • Scissors
    • Sealable bags (various sizes)
    • Work gloves
    • Combination wrenches
    • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips' head)
    • Large, black felt-tip markers
    • Rope or elastic cords
    • Dollies
  • Make arrangements for help with loading and/or unloading your container(s)
  • Make arrangements with your new utility company to have your utilities turned on before you arrive at your new home; you will want lights, water and heat! Click here.
